Hello dear readers, how are you all doing?
Today I’m doing another book tag, since I’m in a bit of a reading slump and I have to put books aside for a few days. I hate getting into reading slump especially during summer when I have so much free time, but you just have to get through it. I will probably watch the whole third season of Game of Thrones or re-read one of favourite books.
I saw this tag on YouTube about a year ago, if not more. If you like or don’t like Taylor Swift, you have to agree with me she’s super popular and basically a queen!
Check also this Tag on Emily’s blog and on Sasha’s YouTube channel where I got the questions, although you can also check other YouTubers who did this tag.
1. We Are Never Getting Back Together
(Pick a book or series that you were pretty sure you were in love with, but then wanted to break up with)
A lot of people chose Divergent series by Veronica Roth for this question because Allegiant and the ending of this series, but I will choose The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins. I absolutely love the first two books, but Mockingjay ruined the whole series for me. Now, I will probably spoil someone but the death in Divergent was kind of logical for me (I still cried like a baby), but in Mockingjay it didn’t make sense. Mockingjay, we are never never never getting back together! Like ever!
(Pick a book cover with red on it)
For this question I could pick million books, but I will pick one that I have read recently: Ruby Red (first book in Precious Stone Trilogy) by Kerstin Gier. Not only is this book cover really red, it also has red in the title. If you haven’t heard nothing about this book, which would be weird if you like books and if you watch BookTube, it’s a story of Gwyneth or Gwen, a time-traveling girl living in London. I will not tell you more, except the fact I love this series and I recommend it to all of you. If you would like me to do a series review (as well also two movies), please let me know.
3. The Best Day
(Pick a book that makes you feel nostalgic)
I think nobody will be surprise with my pick for this question: Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling. Harry Potter definitely shaped me as a reader and it made me love books. I will forever love and return to this books.
4. Love Story
(Pick a book with forbidden love)
Forbidden love is in so many books, from classics to romantic books so there are infinity options for this question. I will pick Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma. This book left me in tears and I was thinking about it for a week after I finished it. It was an amazing read about a controversial and taboo topic and I applaud the author for being brave enough and writing about it.
5. I Knew You Were Trouble
(Pick a bad character you couldn’t help but love)
I think I have a week spot for bad boys because they all get under my skin. For this question I chose Aaron Warner from Shatter me series by Tahereh Mafi. I love him so much although I was really annoyed in the first book with his attitude and him being a jerk.
(Pick a book that someone ruined the ending for)
Well… let me just say someone spoiled the ending of Allegiant for me. Even though I knew what happened at the end, I cried so hard my eyes literally hurt the next day from all the crying.
7. Everything Has Changed
(Pick a character that has had extensive character development)
Please don’t hate me but I have two characters for this questions. I know, I’m totally undecided but you can’t make me choose as it is mission impossible. I chose Rose Hathaway from the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead and Juliette Ferrars from the Shatter me series by Tahereh Mafi. Both of this characters where at the beginning a bit annoying but they have grown to become strong female protagonist you cannot help but love.
8. You Belong With Me
(Pick your most anticipated book release)
Queen of Shadows, forth book in the Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas and Shades of Doon by Carey Corp and Lorie Langdon. I need these two books right now!
9. Forever & Always
(Favourite book couple)
I can’t decide between Rose Hathaway and Dimitri Belikov from Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mean or Claire Beauchamp/Randall and Jamie Fraser from Outlander series by Diane Gabaldon or Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Don’t make me choose between them because I can’t. I tried but it’s impossible. I adore them equally.
10. Come Back, Be Here
(Pick a book that you would least like to lend out for fear of missing it)
I will forever miss my copy of Titanija written by one of my good friends. He gave me a personalized copy so it has a lot of meaning to me and I have to have it forever on my shelf.
Bonus Questions added by Kat:
11. Teardrops on My Guitar
(Pick a book what made you cry the most)
I think I cried the most reading Allegiant, We Were Liars, Spirit Bound and Last Sacrifice. I do get often quite emotional while reading so it’s nothing surprising if I even cry.
12. Shake It Off
(Pick a book you love so much that you just shake off the haters)
Vampire Academy series will be forever one of my favourite series and I shake off all of the haters who have just watched the movie and are smart… No, you have to read the books with funny titles and amazing story!
I hoped you liked this book tag and talk to you soon!
